I just wanted to change my newspaper subscription, and it turned into a whole hassle. The website wasn’t very clear, so I ended up having to contact support more than once. What made it worse was that I kept getting different answers depending on who I talked to, which was really frustrating. They did eventually fix it, but the whole process felt messy and took way longer than it should have. I probably wouldn’t bother using them again

"I thought canceling was going to be more..."
I thought canceling was going to be more of a hassle, but it actually went through fine. The only thing was support took a bit longer to get back to me than I expected, so I was kind of sitting there wondering if everything was done or not. But in the end, yeah, it got canceled okay.

"Not really seeing the value"
I tried discountednewspapers.com because I figured it would be a good way to save a little money, but the subscription still felt kind of pricey for what I was getting. The renewal costs were also a bit confusing, which made me second-guess it even more. Maybe other people have had a better experience, but for me, I’m not sure the value is really there.

"I felt a little awkward about the billing"
I used discountednewspapers.com to set up a newspaper subscription, and the price was decent. Signing up was simple enough, but I did feel a little embarrassed afterward because I realized I wasn’t totally clear on how the billing was going to show up before I checked out.
The charge itself wasn’t outrageous or anything, it just looked confusing on my card statement and made me second-guess what I had signed up for. Customer service did explain it, though it took a bit of back and forth. Overall it wasn’t a bad experience, but I think the billing details could be made a lot clearer upfront
"Refund process was way more hassle than it should’ve been"
I thought getting a refund would be straightforward, like, request it, wait a few days, done. But nope. It dragged on forever, and every time I emailed, it felt like they were just avoiding giving me a real answer. At some point my brain just filed it under “company that doesn’t want to deal with you.” Super frustrating.

Well... I found the site really easy to use. It was simple to look through the different newspaper options and compare them, and checkout was quick too. I appreciated that there weren’t confusing pages or popups all over the place. It also worked fine on my phone, which made the whole thing even easier.

The prices were fair, so that part was good! But getting answers was kind of a hassle... I sent an email and waited longer than I expected, and when I finally got a reply, it was short and didn’t really explain much. Not a terrible experience overall, just wish they were a little more helpful with communication.

Managing my account has been frustrating. I keep trying to change simple things myself, but I can’t seem to do anything without having to call someone. It’s just annoying, like really annoying, when it feels like something basic should be easy to update online.

"Renewal caught me off guard"
I got renewed without really noticing any clear heads up, and the price was a lot higher than I thought it would be. Trying to cancel turned into this whole hassle, and support mostly just kept pointing me back to the terms and that kind of thing. Maybe I missed something somewhere, but the whole thing left a bad taste. I wouldn’t use it again

"Still waiting on a proper apology"
I had a question about my order because I wasn’t sure I picked the right thing, so I sent them a message. To be fair, they did get back to me quickly, and the reply was actually clear instead of sounding like some copy-paste response. They helped sort it out without making me go back and forth a bunch of times, which I appreciated. That said, I still feel like an apology would’ve been nice, especially since the whole thing had me second-guessing my order in the first place.

"Leaving me second-guessing my order"
I got the order confirmation email, but it just made me more confused. It wasn’t really clear what I paid for or when the paper was supposed to start, so I ended up reading it a few times and still wasn’t totally sure. The discount seemed good at first, but now I’m kind of wondering if I should’ve waited or skipped it altogether. The email really needs to be more straightforward.

The price was what got me to try it, and to be fair, my order did eventually show up fine. But the updates were really slow, and I had to ask twice before I got a clear answer. I’m always a little wary when a company uses super polished, reassuring language but the actual communication is spotty. It worked out in the end, but I never felt totally comfortable with the process.

I downloaded this thinking I’d be able to find my local paper easily, but there were barely any papers available near me. I kept checking because I thought maybe I was missing something, but no luck. Would’ve been nice to know upfront what areas are actually covered so I didn’t waste my time.
